rules
There is a lot of reading in some of the other sections, so we’ll try and keep the general rules short and sweet; you’ve probably read them a million times before anyway.
One, Don’t be a dick. If you’re found to be bullying or mean to someone, you will get a warning or flat out banned depending on severity. This includes making cliques on site and barring others from joining in the fun.
Two, Don’t steal anything. If a character or dragon design isn’t yours, don’t take it. If you’re found to do this, you will be instantly banned and the character deleted.
Three, Don’t abuse any loopholes. If you’re found to be doing this, we’ll have to be stricter on the site which limits creativity. Don’t the ass who ruins something fun for everyone.
Four, Respect the Staff. Sometimes we have to be assholes about stuff, that’s our job to keep everyone in line and that doesn’t mean we like doing it. Just don’t be assholes to us and we won’t to you. If a staff member tells you to drop something, you better do it.
Five, Don’t Powerplay. Or God mod, or any number of other things. Your character is human, and can be hurt like a human. They’re not psychic and know everything else about a character. You also cannot control the actions of another RPer’s character or their NPCs without their permission.
Six, Leave your prejudice at the door. This site might be harsh in how it treats a lot of stuff in canon, but that is because we are trying to foster an environment where characters can rise above stigma and hate. The community we want to build with our member base is one of acceptance and tolerance. One of the fastest ways to get booted off of this site is to try and poison that; make someone feel like just because of sex, gender or sexuality that they are laughable or less important.
Seven, Your characters aren’t perfect. So don’t make them perfect! We aren’t looking for perfection, but we also aren’t looking for cookie cutter here. Being normal is fine, but not at the cost of originality. This also means that anything your character does on site will have consequences. After all, in real life you couldn’t kill someone in front of a bunch of people and walk away clean and dandy, right? So they won’t here.
Eight, Don’t cry about Canon. I’m talking the Canon of the books, here. Drop it! Is a completely non canon site, so a lot of stuff that happened in the books hasn’t happened on this Pern yet (and might not ever!). Things are messed up and gross, and things are different. Lots of stuff is the same, sure, but don’t be surprised to see a tweak here or there.
