Here on Drop it! we like to think of ourselves as pretty lax, but we do have a few basic rules for character creation. This is just to prevent pink haired women with big titties from taking over the whole planet, I assure you.

One, this site is an ANIMANGA site. That means we do not accept real life face claims of any form. We will accept original drawn characters, but it has to be approved by one of our admins first. Basically, if it looks like something that Deer would draw, you can’t use them. Sorry.

Two, this site might be animanga, but keep in mind that characters with unusual hair or eye color will be limited at best. The main hair color on Pern is brown, or shades of it, with blond and red being rare. The same goes for eyes. Most common is brown, with sometimes gray, but it is rare for blue or green eyes to show up. The Pernese don’t really do Tattoos or piercings, either. Now, this Admin isn’t saying your character CAN’T have these things, but you have to earn them by buying these upgrades in our shop! If you’re new as new can be without a Mark to your name, we DO occasionally have some freebies up in the Positions thread! So better snap those up while you can!

Three, as of right now, your first character HAS to be a Candidate. You can also only have up to four characters to start out with. We have more Character Slots to buy in the shop, and the max you can have is ten. (So, your four starting out and six more purchased). Of these characters, other than your very first, you can have any mix of Candidates, Dragon Riders and just anyone else you could want! However, you can only have one High Ranking character at a time, and only one character who rides anything higher than a Brown. That is premade, of course. If you have a Bronze Rider that you made yourself, you can’t create anything else from scratch of that rank or above, but your candidates could Impress anything higher than that and it be okay!

Four, here on Drop it! We want to see all you can do with your characters. We want molds broken, expectations defied and generally to cause a big mess! However, keep in mind that in RP that is not the case. Women are pretty much only there to keep a place clean, cook and produce children. There usually aren’t very many female Candidates, but with the excess of Gold eggs a lot more than normal are being allowed on the sands. People who are anything other than Heterosexual are pretty much nonexistent, at least in the mind of anyone in charge. Homosexuality or anything similar can be punishable by beatings or even death on repeat offences if caught. Dragon Riders, who succumb to Flightlust, will often simply blame their dragons to get away with it and have adopted a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy. It is one of the very few places where there is some wiggle room. As for transgender or non binary people, they kind of don’t exist. Or at least if they do, they better be very good at masking their gender.

Five, now you might interpret four as us NOT wanting those sorts of characters around but that is not the case. We're actually asking you to challenge the transphobic and homophobic natures of the usual pern canon. We want an uprising in the fandom of people who come along and say, "No that's not okay" to how the usual drop sites handle these sorts of characters. At first there will be chaos and complication and probably some trouble. But challenge the system. Have an uprising. Force the pern civilization to EVOLVE.
