❛❛ the limit is beyond the sky and past the stars, ALYSSA "JACK" CORBIN sixteen || demisexual || female || candidate |
PERSONALITY TRAITS ✔ charismatic, clever, reliable, devoted, compassionate ✖ fiery, fearless, narcissistic, sadistic, strict LIKES/DISLIKES ✔ sweets, stars, sketching, medicine, dragons ✖ fish, being talked down to, her bad eye, brats, confinement OVERVIEW Despite her place in the world, Jack (as she likes to call herself); has always had a hot-head since the moment she had to deal with other people. She isn't one to berate herself or even think anything she does wrong as bad, even when she gets beaten for it. The girl always stands strong on her own two feet, steadfast in her way to not fall off the cliff and not get absorbed into 'the herd'. Yet that doesn't mean she doesn't hold a, albeit hidden; compassion for the fools she has to deal with. She's not one to just leave a dying man for dead nor is she one to let a child continue to cry for hours on end, though she does like to kick idiots in the shin. People seek her out even though they know her temperament, Jack has a sort of 'protective bubble' that just soothes others. All her harsh words and berating fall on deaf ears when they know her inner workings. As the only daughter of a doctor, Jack knows when something cannot be saved and has put a few people out of their misery. A such, she works hard to make sure she doesn't have to face such situations. But it doesn't always work. Due to an accident from when she was very young, Jack had an almost incurable fear of dragons - the fear ultimately dying down thanks to a close friend at the time. She was able to forgive and forget the event that took her eye and even came to admiring their vast freedom. A freedom she knows few humans can truly achieve. | MISC ✪DRAGON Wittle baby candidate has no dragon love yet. |

APPEARANCE ... |
❛❛ we'll go down in history, |
HISTORY The only daughter to a small-time doctor with little more than his tools to his name, no one would have expected the little fiery dare-devil to be brought out from the shadows by the search. Jacky was infamous for getting into trouble when she was younger, often playing pranks on their neighbors alongside a group of hold's other ragamuffin children. She acted much more like a boy than a girl, still does actually; always getting into fights or making crude tricks. Yet the girl was popular, popular enough to garner attention from nearly everyone in their little sections. No one was able to stay mad at her little boisterous self, mostly thanks to her helping out on occasions. So when the search found her, her fellows weren't quite sure what to make of it. Her father however, merely bid her good luck and 'to go for the smallest ones'. Why the smallest and not the biggest, Jack still doesn't quite understand. Her first trip to the hatching grounds in Lysindiria Weyr led to her first accident, an event that could have been avoided if she hadn't been such a foolish idiot. The girl had been gluing herself to eggs out of pure awe, poking at the talons that broke through shells until one of them got so peeved at her that they actually did something about her rudeness. No dragons were her soul mates but one gave her a mark to remember her by. After that Jack found a new grasp on reality, losing half of her sight of the world. Her personality, while still hot-tempered; took a turn for a more cautious way. She was terrified of dragons, her father and friends thankful that she didn't lose her entire head. It would take her three years to finally grow out of her fear thanks to a childhood friend, one who too had been found in the search. But unlike her, he had a dragon. A little green creature full of gentle playfulness. Four more times she went to the grounds, three of those huddling toward the side out of fear; the last with an actual confidence. But she had yet to grow out of her 'doctor's apprentice' shell. |
